The High-Plateau and its two sites
Like many surrounding regions, the High-Plateau features a sparser medical network than the canton’s average.
To remedy this shortcoming, the communes of Crans-Montana, Icogne and Lens have decided to collaborate on a common project.
Together, they support the implementation of an Intercommunal Medical Centre to serve common interests. Indeed, this project serves the interests of municipalities and their population, as well as those of practitioners. In the future, this new environment will offer a sustainable, close, and quality medical care with a reference group doctor’s office bringing together the majority of primary care practitioners.
Wit a view to meet all of the population’s medical needs, the Intercommunal Medical Centre suitably splits into two locations. Thus, Cran’s former post office becomes the primary site for medical consultations. At the heart of Montana, a second site will open in 2020 as part of the neighbourhood transformation.
